| This is the follow up to their excellent book "Needlepoint from America's Great Quilt Designers".
This book is more of the same, in the best possible way. There are wonderful quilt patterns graphed for needlepoint. Most of the pictures, Illustrations and graphs are in B & W but there is a section of color pictures showing each design stitched.
I think, maybe, the designs are a bit more complex than in the first book, but that could just be me. At any rate, they are great.

| Well-known needlepoint author B. Bossuck has written this very nice book of projects based on traditional motifs and designs-Hebrew Alphabets, Bibical Themes, The Menorah, The Mogen David, the Emblems of the Twelve Tribes and more.
Most of the designs are shown in stitching graph form, a few of them are shown as line drawings.
The book is set up in sections.

| These are wonderful cats. The Needlepoint Designs are by Jill Leman from paintings by Martin Leman, her father. Jill Leman is an extraordinary needlepointer.
There is a close up of one of the stitched cats on the title page. The stitching is Tent Stitch and Basketweave Stitch (which still have their places in the needlepoint world, it is not all decorative stitches...yet).

| At first glance I did not know what this book was about, really. The title "Exotic Textiles in Needlepoint" did not make any sense. Then I read the subtitle " Designs from around the world."
Hidden behind this misleading title is a wonderful book of "world design" for needlepoint by the well-known needlepoint teacher and author, Stella Knight.
The designs are organized by general areas of the world.

| While I am old enough to have seen it, I do not remember the show Erica on PBS in the 1970s. I have another book by Erica Wilson, Erica Wilson's Needlepoint from the Metropolitan Museum of Art, for sale here that I think is wonderful. So, when I saw these books I ordered them.
I was surprised by them. I see them as vanity productions, all Erica, all the time but my Needlework Bibliography does not agree. if you remember the show fondly, you might love these books.

| This is a unique needlepoint book. I was amazed when I received it to see what it was. I had no idea what the title meant when I ordered it. Now I know.
Every design in this fine needlepoint design book features hands. Hands holding flowers, hands holding bowls of fruit, people with hands. There is a hand holding a rooster in a small wagon, a hand writing with a quill, a hand holding a squirrel on a branch. Every designs features hands.

| Needlepoint Samplers is an unusual book and quite hard-to-find. Samplers for Needlepoint is not a subject that has been written about much and this book does it very well.
Stitched samplers were one of the most popular forms of needlework from the 17th century to the end of the 19th century. Indeed, they are still being stitched today. Most of what you see are Embroidered or Cross Stitch Samplers on cloth. Needlepoint Samplers are rare.

| I really like these "niche" needlepoint books. This book has complete directions, diagrams and graphs to create one of these wonderful 3D needlepoint designs.
The dust jacket's inside cover blurb calls this book a"a comprehensive introduction to the realm of Three Dimensional Needlepoint." and I agree.

| Melinda Coss is the author of this absolutely beautiful book of Floral Designs to Needlepoint. She is also the author of the wonderful Bloomsbury Needlepoint Book, which features the art and needlepoint designs of the turn of the century Art & Crafts Movement, many of whom did needlepoint.

| I have wanted this book for a long time now. I love American Quilt design and think it is a perfect match with Needlepoint. This book confirms that and more.
The book has 50 Quilt Designs charted for needlepoint. The diagrams are large, stitch by stitch and very easy to follow. There is a color picture of each project, stitched and easy to follow instructions.

| This unusual book is subtitled: An International Collection. It has 63 needlepoint projects based on woven designs. They are mostly graphic designs and I think they are wonderful (but I love graphic design).
It is more of a workbook than a design inspiration book. Sally Nicoletti is an experienced needlepointer and author of other books on needlepoint. Her Japanese Motifs For Needlepoint is also available here

| The back cover calls this book "the most sumptuous, beautiful book of needlepoint designs ever". I might argue with "most" and "ever" but this is indeed a gorgeous book.
The pictures are all full color, even the graphs. The designs are lovely and as always, Elizabeth Bradley's skills as a needleworker and a teacher shine out.

| This wonderful little book has designs taken from the Victoria and Albert Museums's wonderful collection of Needlepoint. Each project is complete with charts and instructions as well as a full color photo.
In addition, each design is set in it's Historical perspective with some background information. This book will allow you to recreate masterpieces from the 17th century to today, from Florentine Stitch furniture to Berlin WoolWork samplers.

| The subtitle to this handsome books is "20 Needlepoint Designs Inspired by Love". Candace Bahouth is a well-known needlepoint designer. Many of her designs are sold as kits by The Hugh Ehrman Needlepoint Co.

| Many books use the word "Masterpieces" in their titles, few deserve it. Some do however and this is one of them. This is a collection of excellent needleworks from the Winterthur Musuem. This museum is in Delaware and has the world's finest collection of decorative artefacts (copied that phrase from the dust jacket, love those words).
The museum specializes in things made or used between 1640 and 1860 in what is now the United States of America.

| A different sort of book from Margaret Boyles. Most of her books are more Needlepoint or Bargello Needlepoint reference books or workbooks.
This book has designs to stitch and they cover a large range of types of needlepoint and stitchery. There are canvas work needlepoint designs, a number of Bargello Needlepoint designs, there are some designs done on linen and some frankly crewel work designs.

| I love Amish quilts, I love the simplicity of the designs and their amazing use of colors and pattern. I have a few authentic Amish quilts that I not only treasure but that I sleep under as well. I think the best way to enjoy them is to use them.
I was very excited when I saw the name of this book. I think Amish Quilt patterns would translate into exceptional needlepoint designs.
