NewNeedlepoint.com has been open almost 2 years now. There have been many changes as I find my “spot” in the on-line needlepoint community.

NewNeedlepoint.com specializes in books, both new and used books. The needlepoint and Bargello Needlepoint book categories are extensive. Many of the books here are rare, some are quite rare and all have reviews I have written.

There are pictures of all the books. I find a picture of the cover sometimes tells you more about a book then any review can.

All the used/rare books have pictures of the book cover or dust jacket plus a picture of the inside pages so you can see the condition of the books for yourself.

I know it is a given in the used book market that you keep the dust jacket, no matter the condition but I find many good or very good condition books inside terrible and dirty dust jackets. In that case I remove them, no matter what the market “says”.

NewNeedlepoint.com is currently expanding it’s collection of other Needlework books. Included are Cross-Stitch, Glorafilia, Ribbon Stitching, Embroidery, Punchneedle, Bead Stitching, Whitework, Blackwork, Beginner Needlepoint and more.

I will continue to sell selected needlepoint canvases & kits including the work of Patt & Lee Designs, Laurel Burch and more. The Patt & Lee collection of Scrap Thread canvases are a wonderful way to use your extra yarn and thread stash.

The items in the small tools category is also carefully chosen. I only sell tools I have used myself.

NewNeedlepoint.com continues to change while I work to make it as good as it can be. I hope you like what you see.

*Gift Quality* Beth Russell's Victorian Needlepoint

This is another of the lovely, glossy Beth Russell Needlepoint books. It's subject is Victorian Needlepoint and as always, Beth Russell has produced a beautiful book of pictures, needlepoint designs and graphs you can stitch. The subject of Victorian Needlepoint crosses into the Arts & Crafts Movement in art and design during the late Victorian years. Ms. Russell has also covered this area in her William Morris needlepoint Book (also a gift quality book for sale here). In this book ... More Info

Beth Russell's Traditional Needlepoint

This Beth Russell book is a rare and hard-to-find book. This one is in very good despite being a former library book. It has all the "library book' markings, it is from The Tippecanoe County Public Library in Layfayette, Indiana. Beth Russell's books are always lovely, very well done with all color pictures and graphs. There is a extensive introduction with a very beautifully staged picture of Ms. Russell working. Then the book discusses the Arts & Crafts Movement. There are 16 ... More Info

A Needlepoint Gallery of Patterns from the Past by Phyllis Kluger

This is a large, coffee table size book. This is a quote from the cover of the book, something of a sub-title "102 designs derived from art of the past from Ancient Egypt and Classical Greece to the Renaissance, the American Folk Tradition and Art Nouveau" As you can see, the picture used for the dust jacket is very much American Folk Art. I thought that this book was about American Historical Art used for Needlepoint. I was very surprised when I actually received the book. ... More Info

First Edition Glorious Needlepoint by Kaffe Fassett

This is a First Edition of Kaffe Fassett's landmark book on Needlepoint. it was published in 1987 by Clarkson N. Potter/Publishers and distributed by Crown Publishers in New York. I was interested in Needlepoint when I bought my copy of this book, back when it was first published. I knew Kaffe Fassett's name. My mother is a knitter and I had bought her his previous book Glorious Knits. It is an awesome book. I think this book, more than any other, got me started doing Needlepoint. ... More Info

Texture and Color in Needlepoint by Michele Weal

This is the second book I ever sold on NewNeedlepoint.com. I have no idea why it took me so long to re-order it. Texture and Color in Needlepoint is a handsome book, full of pictures and drawings. It is not a surprise that many of both the pictures and the drawings are in color. It was published in 1975 by Harper & Row in NewYork and in Canada at the same time by Fitzhenry & Whiteside LTD. The author studied painting at the Art Students League and at Sarah Lawrence where she majored in ... More Info

*Gift Quality* Beth Russell's William Morris Needlepoint

Beth Russell has become an authority on Arts & Crafts Movement Needlepoint designs. This is a handsome book, beautifully mounted and photographed. This seems to be a very hard-to-find book and a used copy in this condition might be relatively rare. It does not look like this book has been opened or read. The book has 22 needlepoint charts based on original William Morris designs. They are really beautiful needlepoints but I have to say (in the service of honesty) I would not want to ... More Info
