| I was unsure what Glorafilia was but after reading these books I think it boils down to some unusual and decorative stitches 9which were hardly used back in the 1990's when these books were published), Log & Short Stitch and traditional Continental or Basketweave stitch.
The end effect is gorgeous and very well suited to Impressionists Art.

| This is the 3rd copy of this wonderful needlepoint book I have listed here, so far. This is the English version of the book so there are a few differences. The cover is different from the second one but it is the same as the 1st one. Other then that, it is the same book.

| I am at a disadvantage here, I had not previously heard of Cicely Mary Barker's lovely Flower Fairies designs. I had just 1 boy, he is 31 now and was never interested in Fairies (or fashion either).
Di van Niekerk is the author of several other Ribbon Embroidery & Stumpwork books, some of which I list here on NewNeedlepoint.

| This is a show-stopper. This is a whole body design of a serious & glowering Samurai warrior in movement. The clothes, his face and the body movement here are done very well. This is clearly the work of a very talented & experienced needlepoint artist.

| This wonderful book is both hard-to-find and rare. Each time I look for it, the price has gone up (and up)
Dorothy Kaestner's Bargello Antics features 4 Way Bargello, and Mrs. Kaestner knows her stuff.
Her designs are wonderful, her color use terrific. Every design is shown in full color in the color picture section of the book, taken by George F. Kaestner, who I assume is her husband.

| My husband is a dedicated and complete Red Sox fan. As far as he is concerned, I am a traitor even having this canvas in the house.
It is a wonderful hand painted needlepoint canvas showing the Yankees in play at the New Yankee Stadium in 2009.
Oddly enough, this was designed and hand painted by Melinda McAra, a Massachusetts person and another Red Sox fan. She says they sell. She tells me the wife of the Yankee's General Manager bought one of them.

| An unusual book and one I had not heard of before I began searching for these books. It focuses on geometric needlepoint designs, mostly with just one or two colors, occasionally three colors. The designs use stitch and texture to create their effect and they sure do.
I sell this book almost as soon as I list it, each time. Then I have to find another. It is a popular book. It is becoming harder to get each time I re-order.

| There does not seem to be an author's name here. Crocheting School was originally published in Itlay in 2001 as Scuola di Uncinetto.
It was published by Sterling Publishing in the USA in 2004 and translated for them by Mary Beth Benbenek.

| While this very special Original Design Sharon G needlepoint canvas is not, at first sight, Egyptian, it does have that feeling for me. I think it is the eye, that is a very Egyptian motif, as is the cat (but it should be an Abyssisian royal cat like my Jack The Cat).
The colors here are tropical and the design is very detailed. Black Cat & Parrot uses 13 colors.
The design area measures 9 X 6 inches. The entire canvas is 13 X 10 inches. It is 18 mesh.

This is a lovely part of the country, very rural. The small towns often have great names (Intercourse etc) and the Amish & Mennonite farmers & business people work hard to keep this county nice.
