NewNeedlepoint.com just had it’s 3rd birthday. I am sometimes amazed that we made it this far. I keep making changes and tweaking my web store. I want it to be the best it can be.
NewNeedlepoint.com has 2 sections. There is my extensive collection of New Needlework books. I have expanded the books categories to cover other types of stitching in addition to Needlepoint.
There are knitting & crochet books, embroidery & cross-stitch books, color use & theory books and the catch-all misc. books category.
My Rare/Used Book titles are dictated by the books my customers want and the books that I can get, in reasonable condition. It is getting difficult to find decent, salable old books. Some of the Rare Books are getting quite hard to find.
I have also expanded the Rare/Used books categories to cover other types of Needlework.
I specialize in Bargello Needlepoint books although there aren’t that many of them out there, used or new.
The other side of NewNeedlepoint.com is the Canvases & Kits I sell. I stock mostly hand painted needlepoint designs by some of today’s great Needlepoint Designers. I have a special category for the gorgeous & colorful work of Laurel Burch.
I also have a good collection of Patt & Lee’s superior Glicee’
needlepoint designs including a whole section of Patt’s Scrap Threads collection. The perfect way to use all that extra stash we all have.
I assemble the kits myself, from the threads I love to stitch with. I use Anchor & DMC Perle Cotton Floss in sizes 3, 5 & 8. Also Kreinik Metallic Braid Thread in sizes 12 & 16.
I have a small Needlework Tool collection, all of it things I use and know work well.
I want to thank all my customers for 3 great years, so far. This coming year should be as interesting as the last 3 have been.
Elsa Williams is one of the better known needlework designers. Her designs and products include needlepoint, embroidery, crewel work, cross stitch and more. The needlework products bearing her name are too numerous to mention.
The iconic needlepoint book gets harder to find each time I search for it to re-order.

This is one of my favorite Bargello Needlepoint reference books. I have a few that I refer to constantly and this is one of them.
This is another fine Batsford English Needlework book, published in the UK. The American version, published the same year in New York, is the same book but it is titled Traditional Bargello.
Although this book was published in the UK, the measurements are given, though out the book, in both metric & inches. Florentine Canvaswork is a wonderful book.

This is another of the Margaret Boyles Bargello books I used to teach myself how to do Bargello Needlepoint. The subtitle is: A Collection of Original Designs and it is but it is also a Bargello reference book.
Margaret Boyles' Bargello Workbook takes you through all the stages of beginning Needlepoint Bargello. Each pattern has a full-color close up picture as well as an easy to follow graph. Even the graphs are full color, showing exactly where each stitch and each color goes.
