NewNeedlepoint.com has been open almost 2 years now. There have been many changes as I find my “spot” in the on-line needlepoint community.
NewNeedlepoint.com specializes in books, both new and used books. The needlepoint and Bargello Needlepoint book categories are extensive. Many of the books here are rare, some are quite rare and all have reviews I have written.
There are pictures of all the books. I find a picture of the cover sometimes tells you more about a book then any review can.
All the used/rare books have pictures of the book cover or dust jacket plus a picture of the inside pages so you can see the condition of the books for yourself.
I know it is a given in the used book market that you keep the dust jacket, no matter the condition but I find many good or very good condition books inside terrible and dirty dust jackets. In that case I remove them, no matter what the market “says”.
NewNeedlepoint.com is currently expanding it’s collection of other Needlework books. Included are Cross-Stitch, Glorafilia, Ribbon Stitching, Embroidery, Punchneedle, Bead Stitching, Whitework, Blackwork, Beginner Needlepoint and more.
I will continue to sell selected needlepoint canvases & kits including the work of Patt & Lee Designs, Laurel Burch and more. The Patt & Lee collection of Scrap Thread canvases are a wonderful way to use your extra yarn and thread stash.
The items in the small tools category is also carefully chosen. I only sell tools I have used myself.

Chrysanthemums Hand Painted Needlepoint Kit

This is a gorgeous, large needlepoint canvas by Danji Designs. It is beautifully hand painted on 12 mesh canvas so it will stitch up quickly, despite it's size. The design area is 13.5 inches across and the entire canvas is 19 X 19 inches.

This design can be stitched as a circle or as a square, I have included plenty of background yarn so you can stitch it either way. I think this is one of the prettiest designs of this type I have seen. The layout and the simplicity appeals to me.

I have assembled this kit using Paternayan 100% Persian Needlepoint Wool. I suggest stitching this canvas using 2 strands of the yarn. Paternayan Wool is remarkably easy to strand.

It can be stitched with all 3 strands, if you prefer a heavier coverage but it does become a little harder to pull the stitches through using 3 strands.

I have included Kreinik #16 Gold Braid thread for the gold framework behind the design. This would be wonderful stitched using a Slanted Gobelin Stitch, if you do be sure to double the Gold Braid or the stitching will look too skimpy.

The Chrysanthemums Needlepoint Kit will include complete color placement directions using my own hand-made color reference guide (pitiful but effective).

All NewNeedlepoint canvases have folded and machine hemmed edges or carefully taped canvases edges. I prefer to hem them when there is enough extra canvas to permit it.

Each kit includes the correct size needle for this canvas.

The amounts of floss or yarn shown in the pictures are for color only, the actual amounts sent may vary from what is shown. The colors will not vary.

Needlepoint thread coverage is not an exact science. I try to make sure there is plenty to finish each canvas with some to spare. If you run short e-mail me at m@newneedlepoint.com and I will send you more at no extra cost.

Remember to stitch 2-3 additional lines all around the completed canvas for finishing.
