NewNeedlepoint.com is a labor of love. I began my web store with the idea that I would build the kind of Needlepoint Web Store where I would like to shop.
I love color and I admire good design. My goal is to sell the best Needlepoint Designs, Books and Accessories I can.
I have a extensive selection of wonderful Hand Painted Needlepoint Canvases & Kits by some of today’s fine Needlepoint Designers including Danji Design, Laurel Burch, Eileen Best and many more.
NewNeedlepoint.com has a large collection of Needlepoint & Bargello Needlepoint Books. Most of the books are Hard-To-Find used books, some are quite Rare. Some of the books are maybe not so rare but are classic Needlepoint or Bargello Needlepoint Design or Reference Books.
I have picked out the best condition Books I could find, which is not as easy as you might think.
NewNeedlepoint has two new categories: NEW Needlepoint Books & NEW Bargello Books. These are direct from the publisher or distributor current Needlepoint or Bargello Needlepoint titles by some of today's well-known authors.

The Beginner Books do not…yet…have their own category.
NewNeedlepoint.com has an extensive selection of the excellent Patt & Lee Glicee’ Needlepoint Designs. They are all available as canvas alone plus most are also for sale assembled as a kit.

Raining Cats & Dogs Hand Painted Needlepoint Kit

The colors in Jane Wheeler's Hand Painted Original Design canvas "Raining Cats & Dogs" are terrific. This canvas is one of those that make you smile, every time you look at it. The design area is 7.75 X 7.5 inches. The entire canvas measures 11.5 X 12 inches, it is 18 mesh.

Raining Cats & Dogs uses 11 colors. Everything on the canvas is outlined in black. I think to maintain the *crisp* look of the design, these outlines are necessary.

I sometimes think Needlepoint Designers (including myself) rely too much on outlines. I think sometimes enough is enough, if you know what I mean.

I have assembled this kit with Anchor & DMC #8 Perle Cotton Floss. 18 mesh canvas is a joy to stitch with #8 size floss. If you haven't tried it yet, you are in for a nice surprise.

This canvas should be stitched using either a single strand of #8, this size floss only comes in a double skein size ball.

I have not changed the colors at all, they really are perfect. I did over-do it with the amount of light turquoise floss I put in the kit. There are now 2 double skein balls of it, not three.

The Raining Cats & Dogs Needlepoint Kit will include a Color Placement Stitch Guide and directions.

All NewNeedlepoint canvases have folded and machine hemmed edges or carefully taped canvases edges. I prefer to hem them when there is enough extra canvas to permit it.

Each kit includes the correct size needle for this canvas.

The amounts of floss or yarn shown in the pictures are for color only, the actual amounts sent may vary from what is shown. The colors will not vary.

Needlepoint thread coverage is not an exact science. I try to make sure there is plenty to finish each canvas with some to spare. If you run short e-mail me and I will send you more at no extra cost.

Remember to stitch 2-3 additional lines all around the completed canvas for finishing.
