NewNeedlepoint.com just had it’s 3rd birthday. I am sometimes amazed that we made it this far. I keep making changes and tweaking my web store. I want it to be the best it can be.

NewNeedlepoint.com has 2 sections. There is my extensive collection of New Needlework books. I have expanded the books categories to cover other types of stitching in addition to Needlepoint.

There are knitting & crochet books, embroidery & cross-stitch books, color use & theory books and the catch-all misc. books category.

My Rare/Used Book titles are dictated by the books my customers want and the books that I can get, in reasonable condition. It is getting difficult to find decent, salable old books. Some of the Rare Books are getting quite hard to find.

I have also expanded the Rare/Used books categories to cover other types of Needlework.

I specialize in Bargello Needlepoint books although there aren’t that many of them out there, used or new.

The other side of NewNeedlepoint.com is the Canvases & Kits I sell. I stock mostly hand painted needlepoint designs by some of today’s great Needlepoint Designers. I have a special category for the gorgeous & colorful work of Laurel Burch.

I also have a good collection of Patt & Lee’s superior Glicee’ needlepoint designs including a whole section of Patt’s Scrap Threads collection. The perfect way to use all that extra stash we all have.

I assemble the kits myself, from the threads I love to stitch with. I use Anchor & DMC Perle Cotton Floss in sizes 3, 5 & 8. Also Kreinik Metallic Braid Thread in sizes 12 & 16.

I have a small Needlework Tool collection, all of it things I use and know work well.

I want to thank all my customers for 3 great years, so far. This coming year should be as interesting as the last 3 have been.

Gingher 4 inch Spring Action Needlepoint Scissors
Price: $42.00
* Quantity:
* = Required Field
Gingher makes some of the finest scissors available, this is a variation on their regular 4 inch needlework scissors.

The spring action enhances the exceptional quality and cutting precision of one of the most popular styles of scissor from Gingher .

The well tuned blades open automatically after each cut. This makes any tedious thread pulling in needlepoint go much easier and more quickly.

These nice scissors make it easier for Needlepointers or indeed anyone who does any kind of needle art, with diminished grip strength. They also help reduce *scissor fatigue* (I did not make that up, it says so on the packaging material in the box) My grip is fine, so far, but I find these scissors wonderful.

They are, of course, the same excellent quality you expect from Gingher.

A safety latch keeps them closed when not in use and protects you from grabbing a sharp blade edge (and how many times have I done that?)

The scissors is hot-dropped forged and double plated chrome over nickel.. The scissors are 4 inches in length. They come in a light weight metal storage box.

These fine Gingher Scissors would make an excellent gift.

I only sell needlepoint accessories here on NewNeedlepoint.com that I use myself. What better recommendation could I give them?

Silver Bent Tip Laying Needle

I did not know what to expect when I ordered these, there was no picture, no description. Just a name. I was nicely surprised when these arrived. This is a wonderful thread laying tool, perfect in it's simplicity, if you know what I mean. this tool is actually called a " Bent Weaver's Needle" which just goes to show you a great tool always has more than one use. They used to make this Gold-Plated but as the cost of gold has skyrocketed, they no longer do. It does not say but I think ... More Info

Colorful Stitches for Over-Dye Threads by June McKnight

A recent and terrific book by June McKnight. In it she discusses the many types of unusual or over-dyed threads and yarns and how best to use each kind. This small handy book contains full color graphs of 94 of stitches, stitched with these kinds of threads, so you will see exactly what you result will be. There are 3 pages with links to some of the speciality thread web sites. One section covers satin stitches, another is upright stitches. A number of the stitches shown here are new ... More Info

More Backgrounds for Needlepoint by June McKnight

The companion book to June McKnight's Decorative Backgrounds for Needlepoint copyrighted in 1992. This More Backgrounds book is copyrighted 2001. Some of the background stitches shown in this book take up 2 pages, 1 page for instruction and the 2nd for the graph. Others take just one page so it is difficult to get a stitch count for this book. From the index I estimate there are 64 stitches in this book. All are graphed and described with Ms McKnight's usual skill and ... More Info
