NewNeedlepoint.com has been open almost 2 years now. There have been many changes as I find my “spot” in the on-line needlepoint community.

NewNeedlepoint.com specializes in books, both new and used books. The needlepoint and Bargello Needlepoint book categories are extensive. Many of the books here are rare, some are quite rare and all have reviews I have written.

There are pictures of all the books. I find a picture of the cover sometimes tells you more about a book then any review can.

All the used/rare books have pictures of the book cover or dust jacket plus a picture of the inside pages so you can see the condition of the books for yourself.

I know it is a given in the used book market that you keep the dust jacket, no matter the condition but I find many good or very good condition books inside terrible and dirty dust jackets. In that case I remove them, no matter what the market “says”.

NewNeedlepoint.com is currently expanding it’s collection of other Needlework books. Included are Cross-Stitch, Glorafilia, Ribbon Stitching, Embroidery, Punchneedle, Bead Stitching, Whitework, Blackwork, Beginner Needlepoint and more.

I will continue to sell selected needlepoint canvases & kits including the work of Patt & Lee Designs, Laurel Burch and more. The Patt & Lee collection of Scrap Thread canvases are a wonderful way to use your extra yarn and thread stash.

The items in the small tools category is also carefully chosen. I only sell tools I have used myself.

This is another of the Margaret Boyles Bargello books I used to teach myself how to do Bargello Needlepoint. The subtitle is: A Collection of Original Designs and it is but it is also a Bargello reference book. This book is in much better condition than it appears to be, looking at the tattered dust jacket.

This book takes you thporugh all the stages of beginning Needlepoint Bargello. Each pattern has a full-color close up picture as well as an easy to follow graph. Even the graphs are full color, showing exactly where each stitch and each color goes.

In the front of the book is a section about beginning. The designs are ranged from easiest to the most difficult including some 4-way Bargello. The back of the book has some basic stitches and finishing instructions. Another great book from Master Teacher, Margaret Boyles.

The Margaret Boyles Bargello Workbook is a large hardcover book. It was published by Macmillan Publishing in New York & London in 1976. It has 120 pages.

The Margaret Boyles Bargello Workbook is in good condition. The dust jacket is a bit ragged at the edges. The book inside is good, the pages are white and unmarked. The spine is not as tight as I might like it but there are no missing or loose pages.

Elsa Williams Bargello: Florentine Canvas Work
 
Elsa Williams is one of the better known needlework designers. Her designs and products include needlepoint, embroidery, crewel work, cross stitch and more. The needlework products bearing her name are too numerous to mention. This is Elsa William's Bargello book. It is one of the most important of the early books on Bargello needlepoint. it is another fine Van Nostrand Reinhold book, published in 1967. It is hard cover and has 64 pages.

Trianglepoint by Sherlee Lantz
 
Another great needlepoint book by Sherlee Lantz, the author of A Pageant of Pattern for Needlepoint Canvas. This book is subtitled "From Persian Pavilions to Op Art with One Stitch. Ms Lantz does seem to like the idea of a "pavilions". The book was published by Viking Press in 1978. This book has become harder & harder to find.
