NewNeedlepoint.com just had it’s 3rd birthday. I am sometimes amazed that we made it this far. I keep making changes and tweaking my web store. I want it to be the best it can be.
NewNeedlepoint.com has 2 sections. There is my extensive collection of New Needlework books. I have expanded the books categories to cover other types of stitching in addition to Needlepoint.
There are knitting & crochet books, embroidery & cross-stitch books, color use & theory books and the catch-all misc. books category.
My Rare/Used Book titles are dictated by the books my customers want and the books that I can get, in reasonable condition. It is getting difficult to find decent, salable old books. Some of the Rare Books are getting quite hard to find.
I have also expanded the Rare/Used books categories to cover other types of Needlework.
I specialize in Bargello Needlepoint books although there aren’t that many of them out there, used or new.
The other side of NewNeedlepoint.com is the Canvases & Kits I sell. I stock mostly hand painted needlepoint designs by some of today’s great Needlepoint Designers. I have a special category for the gorgeous & colorful work of Laurel Burch.
I also have a good collection of Patt & Lee’s superior Glicee’
needlepoint designs including a whole section of Patt’s Scrap Threads collection. The perfect way to use all that extra stash we all have.
I assemble the kits myself, from the threads I love to stitch with. I use Anchor & DMC Perle Cotton Floss in sizes 3, 5 & 8. Also Kreinik Metallic Braid Thread in sizes 12 & 16.
I have a small Needlework Tool collection, all of it things I use and know work well.
I want to thank all my customers for 3 great years, so far. This coming year should be as interesting as the last 3 have been.
Sherlee Lantz is well known as the creator and author of the book Triangle Point as well as this, is her encyclopedic and huge (508 pages) book on the structure and geometry of needlepoint.
The book is subtitled: Centuries of Design, Textures, Stitches A New Exploration
I never noticed this before but the back cover has recommendations from some unusual people like: The New York Times, Leo Lerman, Romain Gary & Jules Feiffer.

I have become a fan of Susan Higgenson Needlepoint books. I kept her excellent small needlepoint stitch book from my very first order of books. It is comprehensive and the perfect size to slip into a tote bag.
I have lost count of how many copies of this book I have sold here, so many that they are getting very hard to get and much more expensive. I apologize for the price increase, it reflects what I am paying for this book, now.

The moment I saw Patt' Scrap Thread design I know I wanted to call it 15 Dogs 15 Colors. This is a slightly smaller Scrap Thread canvas than usual. The design area measures 7 X 7 inches. The entire canvas is 12 X 12 inches. it is 16 mesh, which has become my favorite mesh size. Not too small, not too big.
This is design is now discontinued, but I still have a few of them.

A excellent little book about stitching lovely little needlepoint carpets for dollhouses.
Each design has a full color graph and complete directions. As this is a small size book, the graphs are quite small too.
