NewNeedlepoint.com has been open almost 2 years now. There have been many changes as I find my “spot” in the on-line needlepoint community.

NewNeedlepoint.com specializes in books, both new and used books. The needlepoint and Bargello Needlepoint book categories are extensive. Many of the books here are rare, some are quite rare and all have reviews I have written.

There are pictures of all the books. I find a picture of the cover sometimes tells you more about a book then any review can.

All the used/rare books have pictures of the book cover or dust jacket plus a picture of the inside pages so you can see the condition of the books for yourself.

I know it is a given in the used book market that you keep the dust jacket, no matter the condition but I find many good or very good condition books inside terrible and dirty dust jackets. In that case I remove them, no matter what the market “says”.

NewNeedlepoint.com is currently expanding it’s collection of other Needlework books. Included are Cross-Stitch, Glorafilia, Ribbon Stitching, Embroidery, Punchneedle, Bead Stitching, Whitework, Blackwork, Beginner Needlepoint and more.

I will continue to sell selected needlepoint canvases & kits including the work of Patt & Lee Designs, Laurel Burch and more. The Patt & Lee collection of Scrap Thread canvases are a wonderful way to use your extra yarn and thread stash.

The items in the small tools category is also carefully chosen. I only sell tools I have used myself.

NewNeedlepoint.com continues to change while I work to make it as good as it can be. I hope you like what you see.

Finishing and Mounting Your Needlepoint Pieces by Katharine Ireyss
Price: $18.00

* = Required Field
Although this book's focus is finishing and mounting finshed needlepoint projects, it also has 40 original needlepoint designs.

Covered are blocking, lining, mitering corners etc. There is complete information on how to make trims of braid, cord. fringes and tassels.

The book has many pictures illustrating these techniques. A useful book for any needlepointer.

This book, too, is another I sell almost as soon as I list it.

This is a hard cover book, it was published by Thomas Y. Crowell Company in 1973. the book has 232 pages.

Finishing and Mounting Your Needlepoint Pieces is in very good condition. The pages inside are very good, hardly any yellowing at all. The spine is not as tight as I might like but it is far from actually loose or falling pages.

There is no dust jacket. The hard cover is good, just some dings around the edges. A store that once sold this book has stamped their name on the inside front cover.

Gold and Silver Needlepoint by Maggie Lane

In researching, reading and looking at the titles pages and credits of all the Needlepoint Books I have been listing these last few weeks, several names have come to my attention over & over. One of them is Maggie Lane. She has been thanked, cited as a source, credited with creating stitch charts and cited as a source. There are just a few books out there actually by Maggie Lane however, they are very good needlepoint books. This continues to be a popular book. In Gold and Silver ... More Info

The Encyclopedia of Canvas Embroidery Stitches by Katharine Ireys

This is a popular book, here on NewNeedlepoint.com. Although published in 1972 I find it an easy to follow book. The stitches are well explained. Each time I have to replace it it gets harder to find. This is a wonderful needlepoint reference book featuring 170 stitch patterns. The subtitle calls it "the most complete collection ever published" I will not argue with that claim. The stitches are clearly and carefully diagrammed, for many of them multiple graphs are used to show how ... More Info

Needlework Masterpieces from Winterthur by Hollis Greer Minor

Many books use the word "Masterpieces" in their titles, few deserve it. Some do however and this is one of them. This is a collection of excellent needleworks from the Winterthur Musuem. This museum is in Delaware and has the world's finest collection of decorative artefacts (copied that phrase from the dust jacket, love those words). The museum specializes in things made or used between 1640 and 1860 in what is now the United States of America. There are 30 needlepoint projects in ... More Info

Tassel Making by Anna Crutchley

I love the look of lush tassels on a needlepoint pillow. It always bothered me that I could not have them match my design and colors exactly and that they cost too much. I had to wait a long time for this book on how to make tassels. it was backordered forever but finally, here it is. The subtitle of this book is "Revealing the Secrets of how to make the world's most gorgeous fabric decorations" That works for me. This is a gorgeous book, all the pictures are full color and the ... More Info
