15 Cats in 15 Colors Needlepoint Canvas on NewNeedlepoint

NewNeedlepoint.com just had it’s 3rd birthday. I am sometimes amazed that we made it this far. I keep making changes and tweaking my web store. I want it to be the best it can be.

NewNeedlepoint.com has 2 sections. There is my extensive collection of New Needlework books. I have expanded the books categories to cover other types of stitching in addition to Needlepoint.

There are knitting & crochet books, embroidery & cross-stitch books, color use & theory books and the catch-all misc. books category.

My Rare/Used Book titles are dictated by the books my customers want and the books that I can get, in reasonable condition. It is getting difficult to find decent, salable old books. Some of the Rare Books are getting quite hard to find.

I have also expanded the Rare/Used books categories to cover other types of Needlework.

I specialize in Bargello Needlepoint books although there aren’t that many of them out there, used or new.

The other side of NewNeedlepoint.com is the Canvases & Kits I sell. I stock mostly hand painted needlepoint designs by some of today’s great Needlepoint Designers. I have a special category for the gorgeous & colorful work of Laurel Burch.

I also have a good collection of Patt & Lee’s superior Glicee’ needlepoint designs including a whole section of Patt’s Scrap Threads collection. The perfect way to use all that extra stash we all have.

I assemble the kits myself, from the threads I love to stitch with. I use Anchor & DMC Perle Cotton Floss in sizes 3, 5 & 8. Also Kreinik Metallic Braid Thread in sizes 12 & 16.

I have a small Needlework Tool collection, all of it things I use and know work well.

I want to thank all my customers for 3 great years, so far. This coming year should be as interesting as the last 3 have been.

15 Cats in 15 Colors Scrap Threads Needlepoint Canvas

I am not sure if I should call this the "companion canvas" to Patt & Lee's wonderful 15 Dogs in 15 Colors canvas, which is also listed here, or call it the Cat Lover's Version.

I think I am going to go with door #2. This is another of Patt's excellent Scrap Thread Designs. As with the similar 15 Dogs design you are absolutely not tied to the colors Patt has used.

The whole point to the scrap threads idea is to use what you have in your stash. These designs are the perfect way to recycle all the many left over skeins, hanks, cards and whatever you have left over from your needlepoint projects.

Use what ever you have, if it looks right to you it is right. 16 mesh canvas is adaptable, you can use doubled embroidery floss, #8 cotton, #5 size cotton, wool, silk, the list is endless.

Patt has stitched a sample of this design, using her own scrap threads.

Patt & Lee Design canvases are Glicee Original Design Needlepoint. These are superior needlepoint canvases, the edges and the colors are crisp & clean.

The design area is 9.25 x 9 inches. The entire canvas measures 14 X 13 inches. it is 16 mesh.

This canvas does not include any threads or yarn.

Patt & Lee Designs have raised their prices, I am sorry to have to do so also, in line with their new prices.

All NewNeedlepoint canvases have folded and machine hemmed edges or carefully taped canvases edges. I prefer to hem them when there is enough extra canvas to permit it.

Each canvas includes a correct size needle.

Remember to stitch 2-3 additional rows all around the completed canvas for finishing.

15 Dogs in 15 Colors Scrap Thread Needlepoint Canvas

The moment I saw Patt' Scrap Thread design I know I wanted to call it 15 Dogs 15 Colors. This is a slightly smaller Scrap Thread canvas than usual. The design area measures 7 X 7 inches.
