NewNeedlepoint.com is a labor of love. I began my web store with the idea that I would build the kind of Needlepoint Web Store where I would like to shop.
I love color and I admire good design. My goal is to sell the best Needlepoint Designs, Books and Accessories I can.
I have a extensive selection of wonderful Hand Painted Needlepoint Canvases & Kits by some of today’s fine Needlepoint Designers including Danji Design, Laurel Burch, Eileen Best and many more.
NewNeedlepoint.com has a large collection of Needlepoint & Bargello Needlepoint Books. Most of the books are Hard-To-Find used books, some are quite Rare. Some of the books are maybe not so rare but are classic Needlepoint or Bargello Needlepoint Design or Reference Books.
I have picked out the best condition Books I could find, which is not as easy as you might think.
NewNeedlepoint has two new categories: NEW Needlepoint Books & NEW Bargello Books. These are direct from the publisher or distributor current Needlepoint or Bargello Needlepoint titles by some of today's well-known authors.

NewNeedlepoint.com has an extensive selection of the excellent Patt & Lee Glicee’ Needlepoint Designs. They are all available as canvas alone plus most are also for sale assembled as a kit.
Claire Sanchez's fine Tote Bags and Shoulder Bags are both very stylish and very practical. The large Tote Bags with shoulder length straps and her slightly smaller Shoulder Bags never look like the sturdy and useful totes they are. The Shoulder Bags are also the perfect everyday bag.

Mae West's Snow White Needlepoint Kit

I am a fan of the old Mae West movies. She purred, she growled, she glided with a sexy slinky grace and her quotes are perfect. I do not know if this quote is from a movie or just her talking. I think it is terrific. This quote is from her 1933 movie "I'm No Angel".

This needlepoint canvas is my original design. It measures 13 X 13 inches. The design area to be stitched is 10 X 10 inches. It is 16 mesh. This design is Line Drawn done using Stitch Painted principles.

The kit will include a picture of the flower used in this needlepoint design. it will be marked with the color placements to be used as a stitch guide.

I see this flower stitched in carnation pinks with 2 colors green for the stem and leaves. The text is in black and the background is (what else?) pure white. This needlepoint canvas should be stitched with a single strand on DMC Pearle cotton floss.

For a better idea of the colors used, please see my bigger picture of the threads near the bottom of this listing.

I don't recommend using a very complex decorative stitch for the background. You will run into trouble around the flower and the script. One of the simpler filler stitches might work well, however, like bargello stitch or parisian stitch, so you can easily switch to tent stitch at the difficult edges.

DMC Blanc 8 skeins.
8 skeins of white is most likely too much, but I know I do dislike running out of thread.

My original design needlepoint canvases are all hand drawn in black or gray on Zweigart 100% cotton white mono needlepoint canvas.

All NewNeedlepoint canvases have folded and machine hemmed edges.
Each kit includes the correct size needle for this canvas and color use directions.

The amounts of floss or yarn shown in the pictures are for color only, the actual amounts sent may vary from what is shown. The colors will not vary.

Needlepoint thread coverage is not an exact science. I try to make sure there is plenty to finish each canvas with some to spare. If you run short e-mail me and I will send you more at no extra cost.

Remember to stitch 2-3 additional lines all around the completed canvas for finishing.
