NewNeedlepoint.com has been open almost 2 years now. There have been many changes as I find my “spot” in the on-line needlepoint community.
NewNeedlepoint.com specializes in books, both new and used books. The needlepoint and Bargello Needlepoint book categories are extensive. Many of the books here are rare, some are quite rare and all have reviews I have written.
There are pictures of all the books. I find a picture of the cover sometimes tells you more about a book then any review can.
All the used/rare books have pictures of the book cover or dust jacket plus a picture of the inside pages so you can see the condition of the books for yourself.
I know it is a given in the used book market that you keep the dust jacket, no matter the condition but I find many good or very good condition books inside terrible and dirty dust jackets. In that case I remove them, no matter what the market “says”.
NewNeedlepoint.com is currently expanding it’s collection of other Needlework books. Included are Cross-Stitch, Glorafilia, Ribbon Stitching, Embroidery, Punchneedle, Bead Stitching, Whitework, Blackwork, Beginner Needlepoint and more.
I will continue to sell selected needlepoint canvases & kits including the work of Patt & Lee Designs, Laurel Burch and more. The Patt & Lee collection of Scrap Thread canvases are a wonderful way to use your extra yarn and thread stash.
The items in the small tools category is also carefully chosen. I only sell tools I have used myself.

Beginner's Hand Painted iris Needlepoint Kit

Another in my series of needlepoint kits for beginners. This pretty hand painted iris design needlepoint canvas is from Danji Designs. I think it is beautiful, for beginners or not, the colors are lovely. This is a small needlepoint canvas, the design area is 6 X 6 inches. The entire canvas measures 10 X 10 inches and is easy to stitch 13 mesh.

I have assembled this kit using DMC #5 Perle cotton floss, it stitches up with crisp clean edges and a slight sheen, it will be lovely for this Iris.

I have used a soft creamy off-white for the background. The contrast with the rich purples & greens will be lovely. I have including Kreinik Metallic Braid Thread in both yellow & white for
the center of the flowers.

This is add a small sparkle to the stitched design. Beginner's Iris should be stitched using 1 strand of floss or thread.

This needlepoint kit is suitable for beginners. A color placement guide comes with it as well as my pretty good basic needlepoint instruction booklet.

Experienced stitchers should feel free to ignore me.

All NewNeedlepoint canvases have folded and machine hemmed edges or carefully taped canvases edges. Which one depends on how much white canvas is left outside the design area.

Each kit includes the correct size needle for this canvas.

The amounts of floss or yarn shown in the pictures are for color only, the actual amounts sent may vary from what is shown. The colors will not vary.

Needlepoint thread coverage is not an exact science. I try to make sure there is plenty to finish each canvas with some to spare. If you run short e-mail me and I will send you more at no extra cost.

Remember to stitch 2-3 additional rows all around the completed canvas for finishing.

Large needlepoint canvases will be rolled and sent in a mailing tube,
smaller canvases will be sent flat in a padded envelope.
