NewNeedlepoint.com is a labor of love. I began my web store with the idea that I would build the kind of Needlepoint Web Store where I would like to shop.

I love color and I admire good design. My goal is to sell the best Needlepoint Designs, Books and Accessories I can.

I have a extensive selection of wonderful Hand Painted Needlepoint Canvases & Kits by some of today’s fine Needlepoint Designers including Danji Design, Laurel Burch, Eileen Best and many more.

NewNeedlepoint.com has a large collection of Needlepoint & Bargello Needlepoint Books. Most of the books are Hard-To-Find used books, some are quite Rare. Some of the books are maybe not so rare but are classic Needlepoint or Bargello Needlepoint Design or Reference Books.

I have picked out the best condition Books I could find, which is not as easy as you might think.

NewNeedlepoint has two new categories: NEW Needlepoint Books & NEW Bargello Books. These are direct from the publisher or distributor current Needlepoint or Bargello Needlepoint titles by some of today's well-known authors.

There are more to come.

NewNeedlepoint.com specializes in Beginner & Novice Needlepoint Kits and Books. The beginner level Needlepoint Kits are scattered everywhere in my listings as well as having their own category.

The Beginner Books do not…yet…have their own category.

NewNeedlepoint.com has an extensive selection of the excellent Patt & Lee Glicee’ Needlepoint Designs. They are all available as canvas alone plus most are also for sale assembled as a kit.

There is also my small Needlepoint Tools Category. I don’t sell anything I am not familiar with, no Drop Ship here. This is where you will find Mighty Bright lamps, Laying tools, quality Gingher Scissors, DMC or Kreinik Color Cards and more.

NewNeedlepoint.com continues to change as I work to make it as good as it can be. I hope you like what you see.

4 Way Bargello by Dorothy Kaestner, Revised Edition
Price: $17.00

The Revised hardcover copy of Dorothy Kaestner's wonderful book, 4 Way Bargello. I have a copy of this book myself and have sold so many here I now buy them in multiples, not 1 at a time

I have only seen one other Revised Edition of this book. They are rare.

4-Way Bargello is a very advanced form of Bargell Needlepoint. The patterns are formed using mitered stitches to join the sections into a whole.

The careful counting involved is a challenge but when it is done, 4-Way Bargello is absolutely amazing. (disclaimer: I have not yet stitched a completely successful 4-Way Bargello)

Dorothy Kaestner's 4 Way Bargello graphs are very clear and understandable, they make it almost look easy. There is a chapter included on designing your own 4 Way Bargello.

The Stitch Graphs and Pattern Pictures next to them are in B&W, There is a color picture of each pattern & design in the center of the book.

This book was published by Charles Scribner & Sons, New York in 1972 with pictures by George Kaestner. it is a hardcover book with 93 pages.

There is no dust jacket with this book but as you can see, the hardcover is in very good condition.

The pages are very good and the spine is tight. I don't think this book was opened much, judging by the condition of the spine.

Trianglepoint by Sherlee Lantz

Another great needlepoint book by Sherlee Lantz, the author of A Pageant of Pattern for Needlepoint Canvas. This book is subtitled "From Persian Pavilions to Op Art with One Stitch. Ms Lantz does seem to like the idea of a "pavilions". The book was published by Viking Press in 1978. This is my 3nd copy of this book for sale here. It does seem to sell fast. I List this book in both the Bargello & the Needlepoint Reference book categories, it belongs in both. TrianglePoint is a new ... More Info

Father B's 21st Century Book of Stitches

Father B is The Rev. Robert E. Blackburn. This wonderful little book began life as an assemblage of stitches developed by the ANG, the American Needlepoint Guild as the Stitch of the Month. The first edition, published in 1982 had less than 100 stitches. They continued producing editions of this book until 1994, by then they had 240 stitches plus many of the older stitches which had not been previously charted. I have recently learned that this is the final edition of this book, there ... More Info

Creative Canvas Work by Elsa S. Williams

Elsa Williams was an innovator in the needlepoint industry. Her kits were locally produced using fine wools and canvases in Townsend, Massachusetts and shipped all over the world. She wrote 2 books, her famous Bargello book and this one. This book is almost forgotten and was very hard-to-find. Williams treats needlepoint as a means of creative expression. Her book ranges from beginners designs to those suitable for expert stitchers with emphasis on unusual use of traditional ... More Info

The Batsford Book of Canvas Work by Mary Rhodes

Mary Rhodes is a well-known and expert English Needlepoint instructor. This is the 4rd copy of this Mary Rhodes book I have listed here on NewNeedlepoint.com. As I buy these books to sell here some of them are becoming harder to get and more expensive. I am sorry about that but It is, I suppose, reality It can be very difficult to find general needlepoint reference books aimed at the more experienced of advanced stitcher. That seems to be Mary Rhodes speciality. Canvas work or ... More Info
