NewNeedlepoint.com is a labor of love. I began my web store with the idea that I would build the kind of Needlepoint Web Store where I would like to shop.

I love color and I admire good design. My goal is to sell the best Needlepoint Designs, Books and Accessories I can.

I have a extensive selection of wonderful Hand Painted Needlepoint Canvases & Kits by some of today’s fine Needlepoint Designers including Danji Design, Laurel Burch, Eileen Best and many more.

NewNeedlepoint.com has a large collection of Needlepoint & Bargello Needlepoint Books. Most of the books are Hard-To-Find used books, some are quite Rare. Some of the books are maybe not so rare but are classic Needlepoint or Bargello Needlepoint Design or Reference Books.

I have picked out the best condition Books I could find, which is not as easy as you might think.

NewNeedlepoint has two new categories: NEW Needlepoint Books & NEW Bargello Books. These are direct from the publisher or distributor current Needlepoint or Bargello Needlepoint titles by some of today's well-known authors.

The Beginner Books do not…yet…have their own category.

NewNeedlepoint.com has an extensive selection of the excellent Patt & Lee Glicee’ Needlepoint Designs. They are all available as canvas alone plus most are also for sale assembled as a kit.

Claire Sanchez's fine Tote Bags and Shoulder Bags are both very stylish and very practical. The large Tote Bags with shoulder length straps and her slightly smaller Shoulder Bags never look like the sturdy and useful totes they are. The Shoulder Bags are also the perfect everyday bag.

There is also my small Needlepoint Tools Category. I don’t sell anything I am not familiar with, no Drop Ship here. This is where you will find Mighty Bright lamps, Laying tools, quality Gingher Scissors, DMC or Kreinik Color Cards and more.

Geisha Cats is Patt & Lee's wonderful and very popular Needlepoint Design. Patt & I are friends, so I asked her about doing a special version of this design just for NewNeedlepoint.com, she agreed.

The Kanji symbol in the upper right hand corner of the design is now the actual Kanji for Geisha. I know this change is not a big deal but I think it is nice. I like the look of the larger Kanji in the layout.

The Patt & Lee Designs needlepoint canvases are Giclee Original Design Needlepoint. These are superior needlepoint canvases, the edges and the colors are crisp & clean.

The Geisha Cats Needlepoint canvas design area is 11.5 X 8 inches. The entire canvas is 16 X 12 inches. It is 16 mesh.

This charming canvas uses 15 different colors of DMC #5 Perle Cotton Floss. The sharp stitch edges and subtle sheen with Perle Cotton Floss will be perfect for this design.

I have differed with Patt's color use on the Green combination used on the left-hand cat's kimono and the right -hand cat's sash.

I choose a second combination of 2 greens for this, feeling the blue/green was too somber. I have included both combinations of greens in this kit, my choice and the one using to Patt's colors. You choose the one you like best.



My choice of 2 greens is on the bottom of the picture. Patt's colors are at the top.

Your Needlepoint Kit will include a Color Placement Stitch Guide and
very complete directions.

All NewNeedlepoint canvases have folded and machine hemmed edges or carefully taped canvases edges. I prefer to hem them when there is enough extra canvas to permit it.

Each kit includes the correct size needle for this canvas.

The amounts of floss or yarn shown in the pictures are for color only, the actual amounts sent may vary from what is shown. The colors will not vary.

Needlepoint thread coverage is not an exact science. I try to make sure there is plenty to finish each canvas with some to spare. If you run short e-mail me and I will send you more at no extra cost.

Remember to stitch 2-3 additional lines all around the completed canvas for finishing.
