30 Exotic Designs from Persia, India, Korea, China and Japan.
Gay Ann Rogers is the author of several very interesting and hard-to-find Needlepoint books. While this topic, Designs From Asia, is not unique, her designs are unusual. A few of the designs in this book look familiar, most of them are "off the beaten path", needlepoint design wise.
The graphs are in Black and White and include color placement symbols. There are many color pictures. The chapters are very complete, all the aspects of needlepoint are covered. In the back of the book is a glossary of stitches and an alphabet graphed for stitching.
I have not had this book for sale here in a long time. Every so often I would find a copy and buy it. It was always in horrible condition, unsalable (by me, anyway, but they would be sold to me, sight unseen and listed as VG).
Published in 1983.
I have this book in the paperbound edition. It is somewhere between Good and Very Good in condition. Bigger paperbound books generally do not age well but this is pretty good. The cover, the edges of the cover and the pages edges are worn. The pages inside are Very Good, just slightly yellowed by age. The spine is tight.
