This is a book for experienced stitchers looking to expand and enhance their skills.
This book is subtitled: 27 Lessons in Advanced Canvas Work. On the dust jacket the author states that the lessons in this book are for anyone from beginner to expert stitcher but I think this book is for an experienced stitcher who is looking for more.
More techniques, more stitches, more complex and interesting ways to enhance their needlepoint projects. The book is arranged point by point like a series of lessons with practice exercises suggested for each one.
After thumbing through the book, it is indeed full of ideas and techniques. It was published in 1980. I think some of the things in this book that were "cutting edge" then are much more commonplace now. Still, it is am interesting book for someone who wants to expand their needlepoint skills.
