NewNeedlepoint.com is a labor of love. I began my web store with the idea that I would build the kind of Needlepoint Web Store where I would like to shop.
I love color and I admire good design. My goal is to sell the best Needlepoint Designs, Books and Accessories I can.
I have a extensive selection of wonderful Hand Painted Needlepoint Canvases & Kits by some of today’s fine Needlepoint Designers including Danji Design, Laurel Burch, Eileen Best and many more.
NewNeedlepoint.com has a large collection of Needlepoint & Bargello Needlepoint Books. Most of the books are Hard-To-Find used books, some are quite Rare. Some of the books are maybe not so rare but are classic Needlepoint or Bargello Needlepoint Design or Reference Books.
I have picked out the best condition Books I could find, which is not as easy as you might think.
NewNeedlepoint has two new categories: NEW Needlepoint Books & NEW Bargello Books. These are direct from the publisher or distributor current Needlepoint or Bargello Needlepoint titles by some of today's well-known authors.

The Beginner Books do not…yet…have their own category.
NewNeedlepoint.com has an extensive selection of the excellent Patt & Lee Glicee’ Needlepoint Designs. They are all available as canvas alone plus most are also for sale assembled as a kit.

Another fine book from the A-Z Series of needleworks books. It is edited by Sue Gardner.

I am not familiar with Thread Painting, I assume it is similar to "NeedlePainting" but I do not know that for a fact yet. According to the back cover blurb for this book "The art of painting with a needle is one of the most revered form of embroidery, but one that is within reach of every embroiderer." It goes on to call the book "An essential guide for Needleworkers everywhere" Then again, what else is the back cover going to say?

In looking through this book I see there is a section of basics on suitable threads & fabrics. A section of stitches with a focus on the long & short stitch and shading. Long & Short stitch & shading are subjects I know I need to work on. Perhaps you do too.

There are 12 projects in the Animals & Birds chapter
14 in the Flowers & Fruit chapter

There are 20 pages of patterns. These are line drawn designs to be transferred to fabric (or canvas).

These designs and techniques can be easily adapted to Needlepoint or used as discussed in this book. This does seem to be a comprehensive book. And yes, Thread Painting is very much like NeedlePainting. This is a very nice book.

A-Z of Thread Painting is a brand new book published by Inspiration Press in Australia in 2005. It is a glossy heavy paperbound book with a spiral binding hidden inside the cover of the book. It has 128 pages. ISBN #0-9750920-4-9
