If your looking for Needlepoint talk, visit our blog and find interesting topics and helpful tips.
This is an unusual needlepoint book, I know there are very few (if any) other books on this subject. This book has 43 color plates and 28 diagrams.
This book has become incredibly rare. I have sold a number of them over the years and each time I try to replace it, it gets harder to find and more expensive. I think this unique book is worth it.
All the stitch charts are done in full color with a color key. I think it would be difficult to stitch a plaid without a full color chart. One in shades of gray would be impossible.
The chapters in the book are:
THE PLAID PATTERN
The Plaid Formula
Expanding the Basic Formual
Centering the Pattern
Changing the Color Pattern
Creating Your Own Number Pattern
Following a Chart
Using the Pattern on Any Size Canvas
Pakula Plaid #1
Pakula Plaid #2
Pakula Plaid #3
Pakula Plaid #4
This is a wonderful book, these are gorgeous colors and wonderful plaids.
Published in 1975 by Crown Publishers in New York. This is a tall and somewhat narrowed paperbound book with 96 pages.
This is a very rare and difficult to find book. The last 3 copies I bought were just awful, unsalable (and remember I try to buy only Very Good condition books. Very good means something different to me than it does to most booksellers).
This is a very good condition paperbound copy of this book. The book inside is in good condition. Paperbound books usually do not age well but this copy is surprisingly good. There is edge wear on the front and back covers. The pciture on the cover is discolored by age.
The spine is good.
