I was unsure what Glorafilia was but after reading these books I think it boils down to some unusual and decorative stitches (which were hardly used back in the 1990's when these books were published), Long and Short Stitch and traditional Continental or Basketweave stitch.
The end effect is gorgeous and very well suited to Impressionists Art.
This handsome book has original needlepoint designs using the art of Monet, Cezanne, Degas, Van Gogh, Morisot, Renior, Pisarro and Cassat. (no Picasso, I am not sure I want to see his cubist period in needlepoint).
Each of the 21 projects in this book has an introductory text, photographs that clearly show the stitchery, a full color charted design, detailed instructions and a reproduction of the painting
This is a handsome original UK edition of this book. The layout seems more or less the same than the USA edition. If anything, there are more pictures in this one.
This is a large book published in 1993 by the Bury press in the UK. The book has 160 pages.
Of the 5 Glorafilia books, this one is the hardest to get.
I have this book in stock in both hardcover and paperbound editions. The book is exactly the same, just the binding is different. I will send you the best condition copy I have in stock. It may be hardcover or it may be paperbound but it will the best one I have at the time of your order.
