In the late 1980's Carole Lazarus and Jennifer Berman had an idea for variations to Needlepoint Stitchery. At that time most of us were doing "plain stitching" (I still am, I love it) and the only serious mention of Decorative Stitching was in Margaret Boyles 1974 book, Needlepoint Stitchery (yes, I have it for sale in my Rare Needlepoint Reference Books category).
Glorafilia Stitching is a compination of Decorative Stitching, some Crewel Embroidery type work, Long and Short Stitch along with the classic Continental & Basketweave stitches. The effect is amazing.
