NewNeedlepoint.com just had it’s 3rd birthday. I am sometimes amazed that we made it this far. I keep making changes and tweaking my web store. I want it to be the best it can be.

NewNeedlepoint.com has 2 sections. There is my extensive collection of New Needlework books. I have expanded the books categories to cover other types of stitching in addition to Needlepoint.

There are knitting & crochet books, embroidery & cross-stitch books, color use & theory books and the catch-all misc. books category.

My Rare/Used Book titles are dictated by the books my customers want and the books that I can get, in reasonable condition. It is getting difficult to find decent, salable old books. Some of the Rare Books are getting quite hard to find.

I have also expanded the Rare/Used books categories to cover other types of Needlework.

I specialize in Bargello Needlepoint books although there aren’t that many of them out there, used or new.

The other side of NewNeedlepoint.com is the Canvases & Kits I sell. I stock mostly hand painted needlepoint designs by some of today’s great Needlepoint Designers. I have a special category for the gorgeous & colorful work of Laurel Burch.

I also have a good collection of Patt & Lee’s superior Glicee’ needlepoint designs including a whole section of Patt’s Scrap Threads collection. The perfect way to use all that extra stash we all have.

I assemble the kits myself, from the threads I love to stitch with. I use Anchor & DMC Perle Cotton Floss in sizes 3, 5 & 8. Also Kreinik Metallic Braid Thread in sizes 12 & 16.

I have a small Needlework Tool collection, all of it things I use and know work well.

I want to thank all my customers for 3 great years, so far. This coming year should be as interesting as the last 3 have been.

Laurel Burch Dog Family Needlepoint Canvas

For some (unknown) reason I think of this as the Father Dog and his son (blue) and daughter (golden). I suppose I would need years of therapy to figure out why I think this but since it does no harm......

Another original design needlepoint by Laurel Burch. The colors glow on this hand painted canvas. It is hand signed by Ms. Burch.

The design area is 5 X 7.5 inches. The entire canvas measures 8.5 X 10.5. It is 18 mesh.

The Dog Family should be stitched using 1 strand of floss or stranded yarn.

This canvas does not include any threads or yarn.

All NewNeedlepoint canvases have folded and machine hemmed edges or carefully taped canvases edges. Which one depends on how much white canvas is left outside the design area.

Each canvas includes a correct size needle.

Remember to stitch 2-3 additional rows all around the completed canvas for finishing.

Large needlepoint canvases will be rolled and sent in a mailing tube,smaller canvases will be sent flat in a padded envelope.

I do not offer finishing services.
