Suzanne Howren & Beth Robertson are the authors of many fine needlework books including the 3 book Stitches For Effect series.
In the introduction they say "This little book was created in response to many requests from friends & students who wanted a more compact version of our books Stitches For Effect, More Stitches For Effect & Even More Stitches for Effect.
The title, Stitches To Go says it all, these are just the stitches. In a format for use when you are "on the go"".
Stitches To Go is the perfect size to slip into your stitching bag. Amazingly, the authors say that every stitch from the 3 Stitches For Effect books is included, except for the Bargello patterns, darning patterns and large stitches which appear towards the end of the book. (yes, that sentence confused me too).
In looking through the book I see 2 Large Stitches at the end of the book. Also in the back of the book are 5 pages laid out for your stitching journal and a graph page. There is a complete index by stitch name, as well.
This is a small paperbound book with a metal spiral binding and 64 pages. Most of the stitches are 4 to a page but they are clearly diagrammed, not confusing at all.
Published by Shear Creations LLC, the 1st edition was published July 2004. This is not dated, I have no idea what edition it is or when it was printed, but it was recent. This is a popular book, it does not lay around on shelves for years.
Just like everything else, the wholesale price of this book has gone up.
