Another volume in Sandra Arthur's very popular Shapes of Needlepoint series of books. This is volume 4. It covers Diagonals, Horizontals & Verticals.
It can be difficult to explain the Shapes series. I want to quote from Sandy's own introduction.
"Keep in mind that the Shapes series of books are not intended to be teaching manuals. However, some areas do have guidelines or suggestions provided. Their main purpose is to assist the Needleworker with ideas to fill a particular area on a canvas project."
I think that is very well said, it applies to all the books in the series.
She goes on to say "The Shapes books continue to be wonderful resources for the Stitcher, Shop Owner, Teacher, Designer & Stitch Guide Author.".
She also says there are going to be more volumes to the series but does not give us a hint of what they will be.
This is self-Published by Sandra Arthur with a 2013 Copyright.
Shapes of Neeedlepoint, Series 4 is a large Sprial bound book with 117 pages. The pages are printed on one side only, leaving the backs for your notes, diagrams or ideas (or doodles). I think this is a great idea.
