Verana is a Brazilian Embroidery project book, the design is a woman's face surrounded by her flowing hair and flowers. It is a very pretty design and a nice introduction to Brazilian embroidery.
Brazilian embroidery is traditionally done with rayon embroidery floss on fabric. This book describes the different types (all of them the EdMar brands) of rayon floss and the results from using them plus needle size suggestions. There is a list of the suggested thread types and colors used for the design.
The sequence of stitches is given as well as the basic stitches used shown. There are complete and step by step directions for stitching this project. The booklet ends with washing instructions for your finished design.
