The Lone Star Chapter of the American Needlepoint Guild (ANG) in Houston Texas has collected some of their favorite *go to* stitches in this handy sized small book. Perfect to take with you in your needlepoint tote (or totes as the case may be). Edited by Sue Ella Allen and John Waddell, copyright 2019.
The members of the Lone Star Chapter submitted their favorite "hand charted stitches" (no photocopies) in the various categories. The editors chose what to use.The format of the book is similar to Stitches To Go by Suzanne Howren and Beth Richardson or Beth Howren's new A Father B Sampler books.
The stitches are grouped as follows: Stitches that Read Straight Stitches that Read Diagonal Stitches that Read Oblique Leaf Stitches Laid Fillings Blackwork Darning Patterns Lagniappe
The stitches are laid out 6 to a page, the charts are in 3 color, black and white and gray. Each chart is small and I find them hard to read. Not that they are charted badly but the bulk of each stitch is done in the gray and it is very light and hard to see on the white page, hard for me anyway, I write this with huge reservations, it may not be so for everyone. (I am old, while I rather like it, my eyes are not what they were)
Self-Published by the Lone Star Chapter of the ANG in 2019, this is a matte cover book with a sturdy plastic spiral binding. It has 92 pages.
