Lynda Richardson's Original Stitches A La Carte is a very popular book. It is a unique mixture of Open-Work stitches and Lynda's own stories.
I do not know of any other collection of Open-Work stitches. There are some mixed into to various other stitch collection books but, as I said, these 2 book are the only books dedicated to this type of stitches.
Stitches A La Carte Book 2: The Lost Stitches is a similar book, with all new stitches. IN addition to Lynda's "stories" she has added a few actual recipes.
There are 64 new stitches in this book and 18 short essays or receipes.
Open-Work stitches have many uses in needlepoint. They are wonderful for backgrounds as well as adding texture or interest to other areas of your project.
