Iona Dittelbach has been teaching Bargello Needlepoiunt for many years. She and her former partner Kim Cool owned and ran a needlepoint shop. They are also the authors of Needlepoint From Start To Finsh (what a sdurprise, that book is also available here on NewNeedlepoint.com).
Mrs. Dittelbacj bringhs her 50 years of stitching experience and her love for Bargello to this wonderful book.
Although it was first published in 2007, Creating Contdemporaryt Bargello has been out-of-print for several years now and can be hard to find. I sold this as a new book and now as a rare book.
To quote and slightly paraphrase Mrs. Dittelbach:
"This book is a primer on Bargello design. My aim is to enable you to become a Bargello artist. it is easy to create your own designs once you understand the basic principles of this art."
The designs increase in complexity as you go along, I learned much from this book (and a few others) back when I was teaching myself to stitch Bargello needlepoint. I found this to be an excellent primer (as the author describes it).Copyright 2007 by Capricorn Designs, there is no actual publication date.
This book came in 2 different bindings. One was a paper cover with plastic spiral binding. The other, including this book, is a glossy paperbound book with a standard binding. It has 111 pages.
This book is in Very Good condition. There is very slight wear to the edges of the covers but other wise it is like new.
