Patt's Shower Cat Needlepoint Canvas with Stitch Guide

Patt & Lee's Shower Cat has been a very popular design. I sell a Beginner's version of it here on NewNeedlepoint that Patt & I came up with together. This is the original design. Shower Cat comes with a Stitch Guide by Patt. The stitch guide shows the special stitches Patt has used on her wonderful sample canvas of her design. The colors used are quite different from the colors on the canvas, I think they are better (don't tell Patt I said this). She also uses some very interesting stitches, which are diagrammed in the guide. The threads used are Silks, Caron Impressions, Caron Wildflowers, Caron Rachel, Neon Rays, Frye Werks, Fuzzy Stuff, Kreinik #16 Metallic Braid, Needle Neccessities Overdyed Floss, Rainbow Gallery colors. While some of these are familiar names, a few are new to me but Patt is much more up on the amazing world of Needlepoint Threads than I am, stuck here with my beloved DMC & Anchors colors (although I do carry lots of Kreinik). The design area is 8 x 9.5 inches. The entire canvas is 13 x 14 inches, it is 14 mesh. Patt & Lee Design canvases are Glicee Original Design Needlepoint. These are superior needlepoint canvases, the edges and the colors are crisp & clean. I am, for now anyway, selling the Canvas with the Stitch Guide without threads. I do not stock most of these brands. I may decide, in the future, to replicate the guide's colors from my stock of threads and colors but for now this is it. I adore these puppies. They are all sitting there and they make me smile. This is another outstanding needlepoint design by Patt of Patt & Lee Designs. Mona Lisa Cats Needlepoint Canvas

Patt calls these excellent cats "Kittens", as far as I am concerned they are cats, cats, cats. They are all smiling, they remind me of Leonardo Da Vinci's Mona Lisa . I have done the background a pale silver gray. I have changed to color of the "bee's" wings from gray to a very pale muted gold. It was all just too much gray. Other than those changes, I have stayed close to the fine colors Patt used. Beginners It's Always Something Needlepoint Kit

I am excited about these Beginner Needlepoint Designs Patt and I have been working on. This is the first of them and I think it is wonderful. We started with one of her excellent designs, the Shower Cat and simplified it, took out most of the exacting and difficult to stitch detail, to make this perfect for a novice needlepointer. Of course, an experienced stitcher can easily add their own details, and customize this. The design area is 7 X 8.25 inches. The entire canvas is 13 X 11 inches, it is 16 mesh. We both thought that adding the text was the thing to do. We though the cat's startled expression perfectly illustrated it. The Patt & Lee Designs needlepoint canvases are Glicee Original Design Needlepoint. These are superior needlepoint canvases, the edges and the colors are crisp & clean. This canvas is an easy way for a beginner to learn to stitch. The canvas is adorable, which always makes stitching easier, for some reason. I would not recommend it for an absolute beginner. For them one of my small very beginner beginner's needlepoint canvases would probably be better but for a second or third project, this is perfect.
