30 Original Designs Adapted from Eskimo, Polynesian and Indian Art.
All Completely Graphed and Shown in Color.
Those are the subtitle lines from this interesting book. The Gay Ann Rogers Needlepoint books seem to all be fairly rare. I am not surprised. This is an amazing and unusual book.
the books takes you from soup to nuts. so to speak. There are chapters on Getting Started, Your Project, Stitches, Designing Your Own, Transferring a Design to Canvas and Finishing Your Project plus a Glossary of Stitches.
The 30 designs are very creative. the graphing is complete but the instructions are sketchy. This is not a book for beginners.
Published by Doubleday & Co in 1977, this is a 8 X 10 inch size glossy cover paperbound book with 158 pages.
Tribal designs for Needlepoint is in Good condition, especially so for a paperbound book this old. The covers and the edges of the covers are very worn and bent. I have reinforced them with tape to prevent further damage. The pages inside are good, slightly darkened by age. and the spine is tight.
The picture is of the current copy of this book.
