A beautiful, sumptuous book of needlepoint by Hugh Erhman, the founder of Erhman Tapestrys. Mr. Erhman began his career as an editor for Vogue Magazine. In 1978 he opened a shop in London, connected with the London Art Colleges, featuring the best of contemporary crafts. At the same time he and his brother launched Erhman Tapestry, which is still a popular source of fine needlepoint kits.

the subtitle of this book is :
"Flowers and Fruits in Needlepoint". he goes on to write that it is "an inspiring, glorious selection of more then 40 needlepoint creations from today's leading designers"

Some of the designs are graphed but not all. The pictures are gorgeous. They are all, even the graphs, in full color.

Fruits of the Earth Needlepoint features the work of:
Margaret Murton
Kaffe Fasset
Susan Skeen
Jill Gordon
Lillian Delevoryas
Ann Blockley
Deborah Kemball
Nancy Kimmins

I am only on page 53 of 115, so you get the idea. Candace Bahouth, Elian McCready et al are in this book.

Fruits of the Earth was published by Simon and Schuster in 1991. This hard cover book is in very good condition. The pages are fine and the spine is tight. The edges of the dust jacket are somewhat worn and someone crossed out something, with black marker, on the inside title page.
