I have lost count of how many copies of this book I have sold here in the past years, It has become a very hard to find book. Even harder to find in good condition.
Mary Rhodes writes very interesting Needlepoint books for the more experienced stitcher. I have a copy of her Dictionary of Canvas Work Stitches for sale here and it has many wonderful and unusual stitches I have never seen anywhere else.
Mary Rhodes' modern approach to canvas work covers the striking effects achieved through the selective use of varied stitches, textures and colors in needlepoint.
The book also covers design sources, adaptations and materials. The book is clear, concise and full of pictures, mostly B and W but very detailed.
This book is for a more experienced or advanced stitcher.
It is a hardcover book published by B.T. Batsford Limited in London and the Charles T. Branford Co. in Newton, MA. in 1970.
The book is in very good condition. The dust jacket is also very good, the edges are worn but no rips or tears.
The pages inside are very good and the spine is tight. This rare book has become very hard to find. I am glad to have found such a good copy.
