If your looking for Needlepoint talk, visit our blog and find interesting topics and helpful tips.
I have wanted this book for a long time now. I love American Quilt design and think it is a perfect match with Needlepoint. This book confirms that and more.
The book has 50 Quilt Designs charted for needlepoint. The diagrams are large, stitch by stitch and very easy to follow. There is a color picture of each project, stitched and easy to follow instructions.
Most of the pictures and the charts are in B and W but I wanted to show you some of the color pictures. They are wonderful
My bibliography calls this book a D (with A easy and D the hardest), for experienced and advanced stitchers but I disagree. I think these designs and graphs can be stitch by anyone familiar with needlepoint and the basic stitches. No beginners perhaps but I do not find these that difficult (and I am only an OK stitcher).
One of the authors, Mary Kay Davis, is also the author of the essential needlework book, The Needlework Doctor.
This book was published by Workman Publishing Company, New York in 1974. it is 170 pages.
I have this book in stock in both hardcover and paperbound editions. The book is exactly the same, just the binding is different. I will send you the best condition copy I have in stock. It may be hardcover or it may be paperbound but it will the best one I have at the time of your order.
You can find the companion book, MORE STITCHES FROM AMERICA'S GREAT QUILT DESIGNERS in this category or at the link below: (you will have to cut and paste to your browser)
