I believe this to be a new book. They were sold to me as news books but by one of my rare book vendors. After closely inspecting them, I agree...these are new coupes of this well-known book.
The Dover Needlework Series is a fine collections of books, this one is one I had not seen before. to quote from the back cover "This collection contains 350 unusual and striking monograms taken from a rare Viennese Album printed at the turn of the century" (1900).
The monograms shown in this book can also be used by knitters, crocheters, embroiderers or latch-hookers.
"All the monograms that can be composed with letters are here. The book also contains a number of Crowns plus several large and small Alphabets with numerals".
The Monograms are charted for use with Needlepoint, Cross-Stitch, Knitting, Crocheting etc. The collection is edited by Rita Weiss.

A glossy cover paper bound book, It has 36 pages. Published by Dover Publications in New York. The book was copyrighted in 1977. I do not know when this copy was printed however, it says that "all the charted designs from the sixth printing of Album der Monogramme fur Kreuzstich, as published by the Verlag der Weiner Mode in Vienna, circa 1900"
Selling New Books is very different from selling my used, hard-to-find or rare books. New books have a set retail price and I have to compete in the ?marketplace?.
This is a rare book, there were a very limited number of new copies available, it is priced above it's cover price.
