This is the first in the series of Glorafilia Needlepoint books, it was published in 1997.

I was not sure, at first, what made Glorafilia Needlepoint different but after skimming these books I think it was the use of "special" stitches back when almost no one was using them plus mixing Long and Short Stitch with the traditional needlepoint Continental or Basketweave Stitches.

At any rate, the effects are gorgeous.

Each of the projects in the book has detailed instructions, color charts and a full color photographs. The projects can be approached at the beginner level or a more experienced stitcher level of expertise.

In the back of the book is a set of Glorafilia "Stitch Cards".
