This book is" Lisabeth Perrone's own workbook", she shares the designs, colors and technique of an expert stitcher" (from the dust jacket). Every pattern is shown in a full color photograph, a B & W or color photo detail and a multicolor work chart.

Ms Perrone is (or was) the director of the American Embroiderers Guild as well as a teacher there.

There are many beautiful designs and stitched patterns in this book, and indeed many with a Bargello Needlepoint feel. Some of these patterns are truly outstanding. In all, not the usual Needlepoint Stitch book.

 
 This is a large hardcover book published by Random House in 1972. It has 142 pages.

 
 The New World of Needlepoint is in very good condition. There is no dust jacket, the book is a lovely deep purple.  The pages inside are very good,  very slightly yellowed by age.
