There are so few Bargello books out there and the number is shrinking as they discontinue books and it gets harder to find the old ones.
Along with all the others, this too is becoming a rare book.
This is a Bargello beginner's book and a good one. It starts with a short history of Bargello. Then it begins at the beginning (a proper place to start) with materials, basic stitches etc.
There are full color pictures of some of the basic Bargello patterns and then a chapter about finishing.
Step-by-Step Bargello has 18 projects, all carefully graphed & explained. They get harder the further youi get in the book.
This is a paperbound book from The Golden Press in New York. PUblished in 1974.
This book is in good condition. Paperbound books age "harder" then hard cover books and popular books, the ones that get read and referenced get worn. Given that, this is not too bad. The edges of the covers are bent and worn and someone had a real party with stickers on the cover. I removed 2, which damaged the cover picture and left the third in place.
The pages inside are good, just slightly yellowed by age. The spine is tight.
