NewNeedlepoint.com has long carried another of the Alphabet & Monogram books edited by Carol Belanger Grafton.
I currently have one copy of her book Decorative Alphabets in the Rare/Used Misc. Needlework Books category.
I did not know there had been a re-print of this book originally published in 1977 (or re-prints of books.. I am still looking) Carol Belanger Grafton is an excellent editor. She choses very well what to include in her books.
This book covers 10 centuries of pictorial and ornamental alphabets and initials. There are 2000 examples shown here in black & white line cuts.
These are copy-right free materials, you are welcome to re-use them in any way.
These are often surprising designs, the ornamentation and representations cover so many subjects, all designed around letters of the alphabet.
Historic Alphabets & Initials Woodcut & Ornamental was first published in 1977 by Dover Publication. This is a current Dover edition but it does not state an exact re-print date.
It is a New 8.5 X 11 inch glossy cover paperbound book. There are 175 pages.
