Another excellent book in the Royal School of Needlework: Essential Stitch Guides Series from Search Press. Written by Lizzy Lansberry, the Whitework instructions here are easily adaptable to Needlepoint.
I have seen Whitework Needlepoint in various books and magazines over the years and it is wonderful for using interesting techniques & stitches as well as embellishments.
This is a quote from the back cover "With clear instructions and beautiful examples of historical and contemporary pieces, Lizzy Lansberry shows how to create stunning embroideries using traditional techniques".
In paging through RSN Whitework I find the instructions to be clear and the pictures & graphics to be easy to read. I find I see some of the more complex open work & drawn thread designs being done on Linen or other more closely woven fabrics than needlepoint canvas. However, there are techniques and stitches here that would be great on NP canvas too.
As always, I am torn, I think I would like to do both.
This book has a metal spiral binding inside a hard cover. Published in Great Britain in 2012 by Search Press in Tunbridge Wells, Kent (I like writing that, no idea why).
RSN Whitework has 96 pages.
