Some of the books in the Country Bumpkin series of A-Z needlework books have been re-written and newly released under the Search Press Classics name.
This is essentially the same book, without the spiral binding and at a nice lower price.

Although, once again, the focus is embroidery almost all of the stitches & techniques here are easily adaptable to Needlepoint.

Much of this would work for Needlepoint, as well. Stitching with beads or sequins & gold thread is shown, to beautiful effect.
I do see that some of the specific projects here would be better done on fabric rather then canvas, there is quite a bit of couching shown as a very good way to use the sometimes expensive gold threads.
