The designs in this handsome book by the well-known needlepoint designer, Candace Bahouth, are indeed romantic. Hearts, Flowers, Cherubs, all of it in some very pretty projects.
Quoting from the inside flap of the dust jacket
"Candace Bahouth has taken love, in all it's subtle, spiritual and erotic forms, as the central themes for this book. With her amazing skills and blending colors and weaving patterns, Candace has created 20 amorous designs inspired by a range of emotions from the impulsive passion of Pagan Man through the Chivalric codes of Courtly Knights to the extravagant excess of modern love"

Paging through the book I find good looking designs. Each is presented well with a color key using Appleton Tapestry Wool that is easily convertible to other kinds of yarn or threads. You are given the colors and amounts needed. A complete list of materials need.
The charts are in full color, very detailed but not overwhelming. These are handsome designs.
This is not a beginner's book but neither is it necessary to be an expert stitcher to work these designs. Any stitcher with novice or moderate or better skills will do well with this book.
At the end of the book is a short chapter on Needlepoint Techniques and an index.
This is a hard cover book published by 1995 for Conran Octopus Ltd in London. It has 128 pages.
Romantic Needlepoint is in Very Good condition. The dust jacket is Very Good condition as well, just some bending and wear at the edges.
