Lucinda Ganderton is a well-known name in Needlepoint books. She is the author or co-author of many books including the popular book, Stitch Sampler.
This book is subtitled Easy-To-Maker Accessories, Ornaments, Decorations & Stunning Objects Using Simple Techniques Showen in Over 850 Step-By-Step Photographs.
The cover also says Over 100 Practical Projects.
In paging through this book, I see that many of the projects are moire "Crafty" then pure needlework. There are needlework projects here using beads, ribbon or both but I am not sure I would call this a Needlepoint Book.
I buy these books sight unseen, going by author name, title and seller reputation.
I do think this is a good book if you like to do more then just stitch, there are some fine ideas and some very attractive designs here. Some ideas for decorative treatments or items.
It is just not what I thought it was, which does not make it bad, just different. Lucinda Ganderton is a fine teacher and these projects are clearly shown & described, indeed step-by-step.
This is a large glossy cover hardback book. It does not have and did not ever have a dust jacket. Published by Lorenz Books in 2006. There is a sticker here that says it was a library book but I can see no other sign of it and no removed pages (which they sometimes do with former library books). Beadwork and Ribbons has 256 pages.
It is in good condition. The covers and pages are fine. The endpapers are loose and the spine is not all that it could be. There are no missing or falling pages, it is not even loose, just not perfect.
