Gobelin Stitch is one of the most useful Needlepoint (or Embroidery) stitches there is. The name is derived from the Famous French Tapestries that were made at the Gobelins factory near Paris.

There are basic directions, then 70 examples. !6 of them in full color. This includes many borders, one of the things Gobelin Stitch is perfect for.

In skimming through the book I find that even the charts for complex stitch patterns are clear and understandable.

This is a unique book about an interesting & useful stitch.
It does not state the publication year however the book was copyrighted in 1980 so it must be around then. Charles Scribner's Sons was the publisher. This is a hard cover book with 185 pages.
Gobelin Stitch Embroidery is in Very Good condition. There is no yellowing of the page edges and the spine is tight. The Dust jacket has very little edge wear.
