B. Borssuck is a well-known needlepoint author who in the late 1970s and the early 1980s wrote some terrific Needlepoint Monogram books. One of them, 97 Needlepoint Alphabets, has become a rare & important book.
Picture Your Dog in Needlework is something of a departure for B. Borssuck, here she is working with Ann Jackson.
Quoting (and probably paraphrasing some) from the back cover:
"A collection if 40 remarkably realistic portraits containing single studies, captivating head views, delightful puppy poses and engaging groupings is complimented by enlightening and entertaining commentary on the breeds. Every design is shown in both stitchery and in graph. The charts are color coded, easy to read and use"
That is a quote, I am not responsible for that text, not even a little.
In looking through this book I agree. The designs are clearly explained, the graphs are readable. Another book with the expertise and careful instruction I have come to expect from B. Borssuck's books.
Each stitched design is shown in full color in a center section of the book.
This book book won a Honorable Mention Award from The Dog Writer's Association of America.
Published in 1980 by Arco Publishing Co. This is a glossy cover paperbound book with 127 pages.
Picture Your Dog in Needlework is in Very Good condition. There is some edge wear on the covers. The pages inside are very good, no yellowing or any kind of age wear. There spine is solid. This is a very good condition copy of this rare book.
