If your looking for Needlepoint talk, visit our blog and find interesting topics and helpful tips.
This book is one of the series of excellent stitchery books in the Milner Craft Series published by Sally Milner Publishing in Australia.
I found the name for this stitchery technique confusing when I first read about it but basically, it is just raised thread of slightly 3 Dimensional needlework.
Quoting (and paraphrasing) from the back cover
"This book is intended for the wider audience and seeks to encourage new and more experienced stitchers to enjoy the Dimensional, Colorful and Exciting pieces that can be created by embroidering (or needlepointing...my addition) with Punchneedles"
"Step by Step instructions and color (well, I am quoting so I get to spell it the fancy Australian way) photographs for every project. This book has projects suitable for beginners and experienced punchneedle embroiderers."
In paging through the book, the directions and instruction are complete and understandable. The pages are laid out in a readable way, info is not all jumbled together. Each page is semi-glossy and heavy weight paper.
Dancing Needle does indeed take you from beginner or you can begin at any point along as the projects get more complex. This is a book with some very nice projects.
A glossy cover paperbound book released in the USA by Sterling . The books's original publication date is 2003, this edition is the 2004 re-print
