First published in 1987, this edition of Kreuzstich Alphabete is dated 1995. The book is written in German however, there is almost no text in this book, aside from the introduction. This is a new book. It did not come with a dust jacket.
German language or not, this is a interesting and creative lettering book. There is really not much need for any english text here. The graphs are very well done, easy to use and understand.
What there is, is alphabets, many and very varied alphabets. Numbers too. They are done in 2 and 3 color graphs, each graph is page size and easy to read.
There are full color pictures of some of the letters and numbers stitched with a few motifs added, to give you ideas on how to use the letters.
I did not count the number of different alphabets in the book, there is 93 pages of them including the color photographs. There are 8 sets of number designs and some special letters used in other languages. I am no scholar but I think there were Greek and Cyrillic letters.
