If your looking for Needlepoint talk, visit our blog and find interesting topics and helpful tips.
Jenny Bradford is also the author of the book Bullion Stitch Embroidery: From Roses to Wildflowers (also for sale here on newneedlepoint.com).
Both are published by the excellent Milner Craft Series from Sally Milner in Australia. Bullion Stitch Embroidery is a popular book here, I have sold a number of copies.
Quoting (and slightly paraphrasing) from the back cover: "Textured Embroidery is a companion book to the best selling Bullion Stitch Embroidery. In this book, Jenny Bradford introduces new stitchesand flowers to creatre beautiful textured designs which many know as Brazilian Embroidery."
"She shows how these basic ideas can be worked with a variety of threads. Clear instructions are given for all the techniques used and all the projects detailed."
Textured and dimensional stitching has become very popular for needlepoint. Just about everything in this book can be used for needlepoint.
In paging through this book I agree with the back cover, the instructions are clear and easy to follow. Everything is explained.
The full color pictures of the projects range from decorative to spectacular.
Published by Sally Milner in Australia, 1993. This is a matte cover paperbound book with 93 pages.
Textured Embroidery is a former library book from the Bristol Library in the UK. It is in good, well, OK condition. The paper covers are pretty beat up, creased and worn at the edges. The pages inside are good, very little yellowing and the spine is tight.
This is a rare book so I have made allowances for the condition, the price reflects this. I buy these books slight unseen, I never know how they will actually look. This one was described as Very Good (oh well).
