If your looking for Needlepoint talk, visit our blog and find interesting topics and helpful tips.
Both these excellent needlepoint pattern books are rare, both of them. Being able to list book 1 and book 2 together is unusual (but very good).
It took me a long time to get both these books, from different sources but I did it (I am a stubborn old broad, said with admiration for myself, lol).
There are many, many stitch books. There are some pattern books but not as many. ThisCanvas Pattern book is done with Marnie's skill and clarity.
Marnie begins book 1 with a one page tutorial on Counting On The Diagonal. Then she goes right into the designs. Each pattern has a page to itself. The graphs measure 5 inches by 5 inches, I can read them without my glasses!
There are instruction along with the graphs, how to create the pattern, sequence etc.
There are no color pictures besides the ones on the covers but on the inside of each cover is a key to what the patterns, in full color, are.
Marnie Ritter's Canvas Patterns Book 1 has 100 patterns with a pattern index in the back.
Book 2 is slightly different, it has the color pictures on the front and back covers with the key to them inside the cover pages.
Then the book does have 5 full color pictures inside.
In her introduction Marnie writes that she has included patterns that need beads to enhance them and Florentine patterns (bargello)
This book is divided in chapters: Stitches with Beads CombinationStitches Composite Stitches Florentine Patterns Just Stitches Index and Bibliography
As in Book 1 there is one patterns with instruction per page. There are 93 patterns.
Published by Marnie Ritter. Book 1 first printing 1992. This copy is a First Edition.
Book 2 was first published 1994. This copy is also a First Edition

Both these books are in Very Good condition. In very similar condition which is nice since I got them from different sources. Both have some light wear on the cover corners. The pages inside as excellent.- Below book 1
